What Is Aligned Living?

Aligned living means to live in harmony with your sacred energy as a woman each day.

As women, we don’t have a 24-hour energy cycle like men. We align with the energy of the moon, seasons and our menstrual cycles. When we go about our work, schedule and self-care practices with this innate energy flow, there is naturally more motivation, productivity, zest and joy.

Meet Ilana

Ilana Kosakiewicz one of Australia’s leading kinesiologists, energy coaches, and yoga and meditation teachers. She is a wholefood lover, entrepreneur with a past life spent working in the corporate world as a CPA accountant.

Ilana’s own health journey with chronic fatigue and auto-immune disease taught her that slowing down, finding moments of stillness, living in the now and listening to your body’s inner wisdom and intuition are not just important – they are essential.

Let’s break down the most common myths, that create the sabotage stories you tell yourself:

  1. I don’t have enough time: Take time out of the equation. This is about making the space for you and your self worth. You are worth the time. Let’s build the confidence to say NO to multi-tasking and YES to you.
  1. I can’t stop and slow down: I was a type-A personality before I got sick. Just like riding a bike, learning to slow down and recharge takes practice. With a little patience and effort, it will be so worth the reward.  
  1. It will be impossible to sync my work and life with my cycle: All you need is a little mindset shift and to understand the basic principles. It’s not about overhauling the way you do things.
  1. I haven’t done much yoga: You don’t need to be flexible or have done yoga before to benefit from the classes on offer. The styles of yoga included are soft, slow and easy to follow. The focus is on connecting with yourself rather than the yoga poses themselves.
  1. I can’t still my mind or sit upright to meditate: The purpose of meditation is not to stop your feelings, thoughts or the mind. Rather than trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings, you’re learning to observe and feel them without self judgment. All meditation can be done seated or lying down. Everything taught is about comfort and listening to what your body needs.
  1. I don’t have yoga props or gear: You don’t need it. In most classes we use towels, pillows and scarves and whatever floor space you have available. You can create an inner zen space with whatever you have at home. Wear whatever comfy clothes you like, pjs welcome. 
  1. Online classes aren’t as effective as an in-person experience: There are many women in our community who believe the opposite. Online classes can help you save on time and travel, while giving you the flexibility to schedule your self-care on the “as needs” basis. Just roll out a towel and begin.

FAQ

  1. Can I pause or cancel my membership? I can’t imagine you’d want to, but yes. If you’re going on holiday, you can pause the membership and re-commence when you return. If you need to cancel for another reason, you can do this at any time.
  1. How long can I access all the membership content? You’ll have access to the portal and all the content with the membership for as long as you’re a member.
  1. Is there music provided for the classes? Yes! You will be able to hear the music during class. There will also be a link on the class page to access the music. You can listen to your own favourite music if you prefer.
  1. How long do the classes run for? There is a range of gentle yoga classes, meditations, breath-work, monthly moon rituals, women’s circles and more on offer. Classes range from 10-75 minutes, so you’ll always find something that fits with your schedule.
  1. How does the membership work? The membership provides unlimited access to on-demand classes and events. It also includes access to weekly livestreamed classes at no additional cost. You get access to our sisterhood women’s community, plus any extra bonuses offered each year.
  1. What devices can I use to access the membership? You can access the membership portal on any computer, mobile device or tablet at ilanak.com.au/members. We recommend Chrome as the most compatible web browser.
  1. How much space do I need? Not much at all, just enough space to roll out your yoga mat or a towel. Most classes will only take up the space of your mat or just slightly outside it.
  1. How often should I practice? Only you will know the answer. It’s really about listening to your own body and a practice that works for your lifestyle. 2-3 times a week is a great place to start.
